Concert Experience Design ****** 27.07. - 27.12.2025

Our new project category, “Concert Experiences”, brings together surprising, inspiring and sometimes very simple ideas that can be used to intensify, personalise or playfully enhance the concert experience – entirely in line with the 1:1 CONCERTS concept. We assume that every concert is a ‘five-star experience.’ But how could an additional sixth star make the experience ‘extraordinary’ for everyone involved? How can hospitality become a fundamental attitude for everyone involved? How can audiences, artists and creators come together to form an accessible meeting place? What new perspectives can we open up on the concert experience?

As part of the Beethovenfest Bonn's ‘Inside Artists’ residency programme, funded by the Liz Mohn Foundation, we asked ourselves these questions together with the programme team of the renowned classical music festival and other artists, and developed many creative ideas as a result. But we also work on these essential questions outside of our 1:1 format at our chamber music festival in Volkenroda Monastery and on other occasions. We were able to test some of them as prototypes during the 2024 festival, and more will follow. Because we have decided not to let one sixth star shine on the concert world, but many stars. Resonance – in the spirit of Hartmut Rosa – only arises in the unavailable. The aim is to create special experiences and encounters through small, unexpected actions that make the world of classical music even more personal and accessible for everyone involved. Whether it's a starry moment in the middle of the audience, an unusual room concept or a conversation impulse that rethinks the roles between artist and listener: every idea invites you to experience music from different perspectives and create community.
