FAQs - Frequently Asked Questions

Here you will find answers to the most important questions about a 1:1 CONCERT.

1:1 CONCERTS and Corona Regulations

We have done our best to make this concert format suitable for corona: The procedure and the given measurements have been checked and approved by a medical officer, the distances and number of persons are in accordance with the guidelines of 1.5.2020 in Baden-Württemberg. The initiators of the 1:1 CONCERTS© do not take any responsibility for the observance of the hygienic regulations on site; this is the sole responsibility of the concert hosts. Every listener can wear a mask for additional protection.

Is there a dress code?

No, similar to any other concert, it is up to you how you dress for the concert, both elegant or casual is fine. Most importantly you should feel comfortable.

Do I really have to keep eye contact with the musician for that long?

Yes, please try to engage in this mutual gaze for about a minute until the musician starts to play. It might feel odd at first, but it is an elementary part of the concept of 1:1 CONCERTS©. Maybe you would like to practice The mutual gaze with a friend before the concert. The less you blink, the closer the contact.

Do I clap after the concert?

No, we ask you to refrain from clapping. The concerts should be embedded in silence. However, when the concert is over, you are most welcome to show your gratitude with gestures such as bowing or joining hands. After the concert there is the possibility to leave a written message to the performers. We will also pass on any feedback via feedback@1to1concerts.de.

What if I'm late for a concert?

The concert slots are scheduled in a way that the musicians do not have to wait too long in between concerts. If you arrive later than 5 minutes, your 1:1 CONCERT© slot will expire.

What if it rains?

Open air venues will only be hosting concerts if the weather is stable. If you have any questions, please contact the organiser.

Can I get a receipt for my donation?

In Germany: For donations below 200 Euros, the bank statement will suffice for tax declaration. For donations exceeding 200 euros, the German Orchestra Foundation will be happy to issue a donation receipt. Please include your postal address in the „reason for payment“ of the bank transfer. For other countries please check with your local organiser.

How can I support the 1:1 CONCERTS team in my city, e.g. with new venues, organisational talent, contacts, or financial support?

Wonderful, please contact team@1to1concerts.de or the organiser mentioned on the homepage. Any help is more than welcome.
