With Films to Watch Days Go By, the festival presents a film program curated by Cornelia Lund and Holger Lund, the minds behind the platform fluctuating images. The three planned experimental short films – Le chant du Styrène (1958), Susanne tanzt (1979), and Hi-Fi (1999) – demonstrate how language is transformed through film. Alain Resnais combines poetry with a critical reflection on industrial processes. Edgar Reitz stages the development of a dance language from everyday movements. Ivan Cardoso collages concrete poetry with found footage to create a “cinépoema popcreto.”

Cornelia Lund and Holger Lund, known for their interdisciplinary approach to art, film, and music, expand the format with a DJ set that picks up loops and samples from the films and develops them with Brazilian hip-hop. In this way, a resonant synthesis of the arts unfolds, playfully transcending the boundaries between word, image, and rhythm, and celebrating the magic of language in all its facets.

Admission: €15 (reduced €8). To purchase tickets, please email us at wortklang@1to1festival.de
