Saturday, September 27, 2025 | Reading 2:00 pm | DJ Set 9:30 pm | Alte Säge

In her Arabic-German reading QAMAREEN: Two Moons, Luna Al-Mousli takes her audience on a fascinating journey through her literary works and cultural experiences. The author, who grew up in Damascus and now lives in Austria, reads passages from her books A Tear. A Smile and Stories Around Me. Her texts recount her childhood in Syria, the impact of the Arab Spring, and life in Europe. The reading is accompanied by reflections on cultural identity and living between Syria and Austria. Al-Mousli explains how these experiences have shaped her works and discusses the role of literature and language. Afterwards, there will be an open Q&A session, giving the audience an opportunity to engage in conversation with the author. The event promises an evening full of inspiration, resilience, and moving stories - an invitation to immerse yourself in worlds of words.

A musical highlight follows with Al-Mousli’s DJ set. Each night is illuminated by the magic of two moons, merging nostalgic Arabic rhythms from the past with the beats of the future into an energetic set that invites everyone to dance.
