#festival

From Thu 04 to Sun 07 March and from Tue 09 until Fri 12 March, 160 1:1 Concerts will take place at the Adelaide Festival!  Amazing venues showcasing known and hidden gems in a most beautiful and varied city.

First Day: splendid Carrick Hill, alternating performances with Slava Grigoryan and Belinda Gehlert.

Second Day: A wonderful morning at Government House playing to women experiencing homelessness who are supported by the Hutt St Centre and Catherine House charities. "Performing 1:1 CONCERTS to women experiencing homelessness yesterday have been the most moving experiences of my performing life. Thank you Hutt St Centre, Catherine House - Support for Women Experiencing Homelessness, Mahmood Martin Foundation and Adelaide Festival for making this possible." So Sally Walker.

“This music brought me joy and happiness, peace and harmony... one with nature. I wanted to dance. It was also healing, it made me smile inside and out. Really touched my heart. I felt loved and appreciated and freedom to be who I was meant to be.”

An excerpt of the message left for me from a listener brought be the Catherine House charity.

In the afternoon 1:1 CONCERTS were in the iconic venue of the Adelaide Oval scoreboard.

Third Day: set was an extended “Still Life with Pumpkins and Onions” (Hans Heysen) at The Cedars, where listeners were also able to see Hans Heysen’s studio – Australia’s oldest artist’s studio able to be viewed - and Nora Heysen’s studio, as well as the Heysen family home and gardens.
